In this clay workshop students will use the handbuilding method of slabbing and coiling to construct your planter. This is handbuilding (non wheel) course.
What to expect: Students will construct one medium sized planter and practice making a variety of coil shapes and designs to use in their construction process. When complete, students will select and apply their underglaze colors. Planters will be functional for use after kiln firings.
No prior experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. This workshop is for adults and kids over 12 years old.
After pieces are completed, they will need to be dried, hand glazed, and fired in the kiln.
**Pick up of completed glazed fired pieces will be ready about 3 weeks after the workshop.** Price includes instruction, ceramic tools, clay, glazes, and kiln firing fees. Workshops are all small group, maximum 7 participants. When fully complete, pieces are functional, food safe, and ready to use.
