In this festive holiday workshop students will make one medium sized cup with a handle out of a fresh piece of clay and then hand roll the ribbon detail and glaze the piece. The pinching and coiling clay methods will be used to create this piece. This is not a pottery wheel course.
What to expect: Students will make one medium sized mug and create a ribbon detail, then select and apply their glazes.
No prior experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. This workshop is for adults and kids over 12 years old.
After pieces are completed, they will need to be dried and fire in the kiln.
**Pick up of completed glazed fired pieces will be ready about 2 weeks after the workshop.** Price includes instruction, ceramic tools, clay, glazes, and kiln firing fees. Workshops are all small group, maximum 7 participants. When fully complete, pieces are functional, food safe, and ready to use.
