(Sold Out!) Kids Clay Camp July 7-11: All About Coils

All about coils!

July 7-11: Does your child like building? If so this is the camp for them! We will learn about contemporary coiling artist such as Nicole Cherubini and her style of coiling, as well as traditional Mayan coiling. Campers will learn how to work with fresh pieces of clay, how to roll various shaped coils, and build with clay. Once constructed, glaze colors will be added to the surface. The handmade clay projects will be fired in the kiln, pick up of finished clay projects will be approximately two weeks after the class.

Project Examples: Clay tiles, coil bowls, coil vases, and coil name plate.

Camp Dates: Monday-Friday July 7-11

Time: 9:30am-11:00am

*Classes are 1.5 hours, and kids age 6-13 are welcome. Chairs will be out for parents if they’d like to stay.

About the instructor: Dianna is a Certified SC K-12 art teacher with twenty years teaching experience. She has undergraduate degree in Art Education, and Master’s degree in Education. She has been background checked and fingerprinted as per SC certified educator standards.

Location: At home studio-6 Fullerton Ct. Simpsonville, SC.
