THIS IS A PRIVATE EVENT for Friday 3/27 6-8pm
This is an amazing two hour workshop where students will construct a medium sized charcuterie board out of clay and apply an underglaze transfer sheet to the clay surface after construction. There will be two underglaze transfer patterns to chose from. (see photos) This piece will be made using the slab handbuilidng method which is a process of constructing with clay without the use of the pottery wheel.
No prior experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. This private event workshop is for Carter and friends of Carter.
After pieces are completed, they will need to be dried and fire in the kiln.
**Pick up of completed glazed fired pieces will be ready 2-3 weeks after the workshop.** Price includes instruction, ceramic tools, clay, glazes, and kiln firing fees. Workshops are all small group, maximum 7 participants. When fully complete, pieces are functional, food safe, and ready to use.
Class are taught in my studio at Whitehall Plantation, Fullerton Ct. Simpsonville, SC.
