This is a brand NEW exciting course Adults and kids over 18 years old. This is a functional 6 week handbuilding (non wheel) course where you will learn how to make beautiful decor and conversation pieces for your home. Students will both construct their pieces from a fresh piece of clay and glaze their bisque fired pieces. Students will have a choice of have 3-4 glaze color different options when glazing. Some example projects are clay basket weave bowls, and contemporary coil vases. (see images)
Session dates:
*Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm 6 week course, September 3 to October 8
Pick up of the handmade clay projects will be approximately 2 weeks after final class because they have to be glaze fired in the kiln. Price includes instruction, all the materials, clay, glazes, and kiln firing fees. There is no additional material fee for this course!
Classes are taught by a certified K-12 SC art educator with twenty years teaching experience. Class taught in small group, maximum 7 participants. All experience levels are welcome.
